BRSS operates from the NSW southern
tablelands town of Braidwood. BRSS is not a city-based response to the
problems of the bush, it represents a genuine desire to listen to and
learn from rural churches and to work in partnership for more effective
outcomes in ministry.
BRSS
is a further expression of denominational concern for rural churches,
working cooperatively with all branches of the
Baptist
Union
of NSW & ACT
for the benefit of our country churches and the communities they serve.
BRSS
recognises the role of existing denominational bodies and agencies in
their care and concern for NSW country churches. BRSS believes, however,
that the needs of rural churches and communities are of such a serious
nature as to require specific response from a body that is singularly
focused on rural and remote churches and communities.
